I'm putting together my first PC and picked this setup out. What do you think? Is that 850-watt power supply enough or should I get more? I don't want to buy a graphics card yet because the prices are too high. My choice is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. The processor is an AMD Ryzen 9 9800X3D. Motherboard: GIGABYTE X870 Eagle WIFI7 with support for AMD AM5 sockets. Cooling: Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120SE fan and air cooler. RAM: Crucial Pro DDR5 memory in a 32GB kit (two sticks of 16GB each) running at 6000MHz with low latency CL36 storage. SSD: SAMSUNG 990 PRO drive, 1TB capacity using PCIe 4.0 M.2 slot and 2280 form factor. Power supply: CORSAIR RM850x unit.

Welcome to the forums! I'm starting my very first PC and have made this setup myself. What do you think? Is the 850-watt power supply enough or should I get more? Please use a sticky note here with details from this thread so other users can give good advice. First off, respect where respect is due - this is just an adaptation of someone else's guide on how to ask for new build tips. I made this because there are many people asking for upgrade ideas online and in the CPU forums, and I feel... forums. so everyone on the site can contribute useful suggestions. But my first choice was a 5070 ti card and an RX 9070XT graphics chip. Processor: Ryzen 7 9800X3D Motherboard: GIGABYTE X870 Eagle WIFI7 AMD AM5 Cooling Fan: Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120SE CPU Air Cooler RAM: Crucial Pro DDR5 Memory with 32GB capacity (two sticks of 16GB) 6000MHz CL36 SSD: SAMSUNG 990 PRO SSD 1TB PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280 Power Supply: CORSAIR RM850x I usually add a second hard drive to make room for the operating system, apps, and game launchers. While the big one is meant to store all my games, this build focuses mainly on gaming.

How much money do you have? Where are you standing? What picture quality do you want? Have you used parts before or will you be buying new ones for this thing?

You bought anything already? How is your computer going to get things done? Where do you live? How much money can you spend on it?
