hello guys, so i got this xeon w3680 on a lenovo tinkstation s20 mb and i need to make it run faster. i tried using throttlestop to push it to 3.7 ghz, but when i check my cpu-z info it says only 3.7. even with ms afterburner or riva tuner, they only show 3.46 ghz just like the w3690 models? this is crazy because it shouldn't be able to reach that turbo boost level since the bios is locked and i can't change any settings.

also when i try going over 3.7, like to 3.8 or even 4.0 ghz, the pc crashes with a blue screen error. i saw someone say hp z400s can do this too but they had a locked bios so maybe that's not how it works here? specs for my rig: gigabyte gtx 670 10 gb ram at 1333 mhz, psu is 80 plus bronze level.

If you turn up your clock speed to 4.0 GHz and hit an error screen, it means the overclocking worked just fine. You can use software called ThrottleStop to push the W3680 on any board higher. Believe the MHz numbers that ThrottleStop and CPU-Z show you.
