I really want the community's advice to find the perfect machine. The Dell Optiplex Micro could work, but I don't know if the older ones can handle the second need on this list. Something like this: Dell Optiplex 7050 Micro i5-7500T Requirements: 1) Small and compact - under 10" x 4" x 10" 2) Can mirror the hard drive so if one fails, the other takes over (read/write speed doesn't matter much) 3) Older model for lower price - Want to stay under $200

I want to know how to deal with point number two in this list. Is it about making a RAID 1 setup? One thing I didn't mention: the Z axis. Two things I need help with here: one, do you have notes from this thread? Another question can you mirror an M2 drive using a SATA drive? Currently, I am running an Optiplex USFF and want to add new SSDs for redundancy so that if one fails, the other takes over right away. My machine is ready for both M2 drives and SATA drives. Is it possible to make this RAID 1 setup work like that? Also, TIME is my biggest worry because downtime... forums. Three things I need help with here: sure can't you get a NAS?

1) I added a third dimension. 2) Oh yeah! Ive read through this thing several times and dont know if the machine can handle this. Im asking for help from the community on finding the right computer for this task. 3) I do know what NAS is, but I dont have much experience with it. I am not against using one, just want to hear if there is a single machine that fits my needs.
