Sure, look for a router that supports a sizable device whitelist and MAC address filtering. Models like the TP-Link Archer AX85G or Netgear Nighthawk R7000 are known for strong security features and flexible whitelisting options.

The term "large" refers to either 200 or 2000 devices depending on context.

Around 50 gadgets at most, though if there are more than that I’d love to explore them out of interest. Oops, I forgot to mention it earlier. Not all devices are connected simultaneously, but the Wi-Fi sharing feature is a bit annoying because with Android you just scan a QR code, while iOS lets you see the password directly in settings.

It's possible many devices work well, but some may face limitations. Have you encountered any models that don't perform as expected?

I didn't know whether it was your archer C7 or your TL WR840N, but I could only add more than 30 devices to the whitelist before hitting the limit.

Find options from ASUS or Linksys—they often overstate the power of their routers, making those limits seem unnecessary.

Have you thought about installing OpenWRT on the C7 instead of purchasing a new router? https://openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/archer_c7 Based on the C7 version you're using, the process might be simple.

We'll review this and see if it affects the MAC address filter limit.

It's true, you can add as many MAC addresses to the whitelist as you want on OpenWRT. The main constraint would be available memory, which shouldn't be an issue even with a large number of entries.
