Hello everyone, I'm considering setting up a 13700k system for my partner. After dealing with gigabyte's issues, I switched to ASUS for my recent build. They've been having significant customer support problems lately. With these challenges, I'm unsure which brand to choose since both ASUS and MSI seem unreliable right now. Any thoughts on other manufacturers you're thinking about?

They originated as spin-offs from Pegasus, but ASUS has since transformed into a separate entity, while ASRock remains active. It seems they never truly stayed connected to Pegasus. Many horror tales surround these companies, so pay attention to the boardmakers and be ready for surprises. EVGA is the only one I haven’t heard about in such stories—unless you’re eyeing a $400+ motherboard, it’s not worth considering. Currently, solid choices include the Z790 Aorus Elite AX, Z690 Carbon Force (around $300), Z790-A Pro, and Z790 Tomahawk. The Z690 Force stands out as a top-tier LGA 1700 board, handling most tasks well, while the others match it with minor differences in connectivity and power delivery.

I'll check those out. What I'm after is 2.5 gbe. The rest should be a standard gaming setup—no need to push it too hard, unlike what I do with my 13900k.
