IS is a newer release from the same creators behind Descent. It has a similar vibe. Running it at high settings might even cause my 1070 GTX laptop to overheat, so it's not overly power-hungry.

Borderlands series offers an enjoyable experience with shooting and looting, a solid story, and a lighthearted tone. Bioshock series shines, especially Bioshock Infinite, with unexpected twists and action-packed encounters against villains. You’ll receive weapons and some supernatural abilities, though it appears you prefer modern visuals. The two No One Lives Forever titles mentioned earlier are also worth noting for their quality. Imagine stepping into the 1960s as a spy akin to a Bond film, but with a comedic twist.

Yeah! it's pretty amazing! Don't hate it, just because it's older than you!

It's not really. I'm 42, and I played Bioshock on another machine—it's an interesting game with some simple puzzles. Borderlands seems a bit too kidish to me.

For simple, mindless shooters, consider Painkiller and Bulletstorm. Hard Reset could also fit the bill.

Right now I've been playing FC Primal for three months, and it's really impressive. It's a shooter, an exploration game, and it keeps me engaged without feeling exhausting. Most games leave me tired, but this one does the opposite. I'd rank it among my top five favorites.

Bulletstorm seems intriguing. Painkillers were used a long time ago.

Just finished RE 2 Remake, it really cut into ten years. Such a grindy experience with endless mazes... Now I’m switching to Far Cry 5.

Explore the latest Wolfenstein titles, including Metro: 2033, Left 4 Dead (and Back 4 Blood), FEAR, Crysis, Prey, Mirror's Edge. For horror fans, check out Amnesia, Outlast, Alien: Isolation, and SOMA. If you enjoy survival horror, consider the series Amnesia, Last Outrun, Alien: Isolation, and Mirror's Edge.

I've been enjoying Severed Steel a lot. It's an FPS game where you avoid bullets by jumping, running along walls, sliding, etc. You can also enable slow motion during these moves. It relies heavily on quick reactions and precision without needing much thought. The main drawback is its short length, though you can keep playing by creating your own levels and aiming to improve your high score or time.
