Have you played part two yet? The game is called DYING LIGHT 2: Stay Human. I want to get it, but people said this time there are no guns or rifles. Instead, the game focuses more on using hands and swords instead of shooting. Most fights happen with melee weapons like fists or sticks. A wiki says you can also use long-range tools like crossbows, shotguns, and spears, but finding those things in the game is really hard.

I've been reading stuff online and there are no real guns like shooting balls off at targets, but I see lots of different bows and even some cool crossbows. There are also knives and spears that you can throw around. People seem to have stopped making pistols, assault rifles, and shotguns, though I never used a shotgun in The Following. My main trouble with Dying Light 2 is always the feeling like missions feel empty if your choices matter too much. So I'm just hoping for some cheap deals on them.

I'm okay with bows or crossbows, but not really ballistic guns like in these games. So I am waiting to see what happens next and holding off on trying that stuff. Honestly, I don't know how the missions are set up here either. I think Deadlight 1 is still much better than this sequel, so far as my opinion goes.

I only used assault rifles in Dying Light 1 because they were the best weapons against humans who carried guns. They can also take off Demolisher helmets, but sometimes using them releases chemicals that I avoided. Instead, I picked up a crossbow for safer use. I never tried to find quiet guns though; there are some but they are very hard to get. If we talk about loud guns, they aren't that useful unless many enemies shoot at you with assault rifles right now. They make chemical clouds that can climb on things. Even in Dying Light 1, most of the monsters you fight are zombies, not regular people. Guns also run out of bullets, and even back then, that meant I had to either keep fighting more humans who carry guns and hope their ammo is full enough, or find places with boxes of them. That usually happens only on certain missions where enemies are carrying those guns.

Yeah, most of the enemies are Zombies. There aren't really many humans around so any loud gun would definitely draw them out. In the first game, the zombies moved slowly when it was day, but they got more crazy and dangerous at night. I wish there were some silenced attachment for guns too. Even in Dying Light 2 most of the enemies are just Zombies. I think there is no human threat here, imo. The PARKOUR mechanics and skills in DY 2 have been upgraded a lot though.

Like I said, some people say there are silenced guns hiding in the first game, but I never had to hunt for them or use them. Most humans in the first game carry assault rifles, though usually when they start shooting, the screaming climbers and volatiles just scream at them instead of taking shots. So I usually get up high and pick off zombies one by one with headshots using a bow or crossbow. Not all zombies are slow. The screaming ones that react really fast to gunfire and explosions always come in groups of three when they are alerted, and they move pretty quickly. They were the only things I was worried about in Dying Light 1. My most common situation was dealing with those exploders running anytime I scavenged. My usual way of stopping them was to get on top of a van the moment I heard their screaming come up, then kick them in the head as they climbed, which kills them instantly if you have the Stomp skill. It can be hard to figure out which direction the next one is going to climb, especially since the game kind of swings your view around after each stomp, and I don't even know why it does that.
