helpRAM fails to start at 3600MHz on AsRock B450 Steel Legend
Hey, I noticed you just got your new gaming PC and installed the ASRock B450 Steel Legend board with 3600MHz RAM. It seems the system won’t recognize the memory at that speed—it keeps restarting until it sets the correct speeds. You might have a faulty motherboard. Let me know if you need further guidance!
I’m testing it at that exact rate (3133) but it stops right away. The motherboard claims it can manage 3533 without issues. My friend who built a PC for a fee also faced the same issue, running at default speeds of 2666.
You may not reach 3600 MHz, and vice versa. Neither appears in the other's QVL. https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Q...200709.pdf https://www.asrock.com/mb/amd/b450 steel legend/index.asp#MemoryPR
What processor are you using? My previous experience with the B450 Steel Legend involved boosting my memory to run at 3000MHz, which required several adjustments but ultimately succeeded and has performed reliably ever since.
