what concerns do you have about the present card, and what outcome are you aiming for with the rx 6800? at 500 usd it wouldn't be worthwhile to upgrade. additionally, if it isn't enabled, turning on s.a..m on your motherboard can provide a minor improvement for your existing card.

As someone who owns an RX 6800, I can tell you none of these are worth the investment. Save up more until you can afford an RX 9070xt, which is the current MSRP. That would give you a much better performance boost.
