Your PC specs are an i5 7400 rtx 3050 with 16GB RAM. You recently upgraded from an i5 1050 ti to the rtx 3050, but you're not noticing significant improvements. Online benchmarks suggest the GPU is underperforming compared to expectations. With a 400 PSU, it might be worth checking those for potential issues. Let me know if you need further help!

Performance at 3050 is roughly twice that of 1050Ti, yet your CPU might still limit speed. Try running games to verify CPU and GPU activity.

If your CPU is at full capacity while the GPU remains at a moderate level, it might indicate you should consider upgrading the CPU for better performance.

The computer's speed is limited by its weakest component.

Absolutely, I agree. The i5 7400 performed fine around 2017 but struggled in 2020, and now it doesn’t meet the demands of many current games.

Look for an affordable i7 6700 or i7 7700. Search for a refurbished PC that might require just a few components, such as a hard drive and graphics card.

Yeah... what he mentioned It seems your socket LGA 1151 is compatible only with the 7000 series, so options for cost aren't really available. Unless you're thinking about something around $100 per EU budget, it's unclear how long a 6700 or 7700 would last before you face the same issue again.
