I've just upgraded to an i7 14700K and everything in BIOS is default except XMP is on and EMC is off. These CPUs get quite hot, do you have any other settings to adjust for better cooling without affecting performance? I saw a mention of LLC but I'm not sure how it works or how to configure it properly.

Turn off Asus Multi Core Enhancement – apply maximum restrictions. They increase voltage significantly for stability, likely causing immediate throttling. Also install a contact frame for $11. It’s a risk to the performance.

I upgraded my 14600k cooler by adjusting the pl1 and pl2 limits, applied undervolting, and turned off the CPU cooling fan. Per-bin adjustments for CPU multipliers can also help with lowering voltage. It’s wise to disable any brand-specific features as they often override your settings. You might not need to increase the clock speed by a full 1. The board typically sets voltages arbitrarily, so I’m aiming for around 1.3 max now. It usually drops further—around 0.8v—when just streaming videos.
