Hey everyone,
I'm starting to feel really stuck and might have to give up. My graphics aren't showing properly even after tweaking settings a lot—Roblox looks especially blurry (I've attached some screenshots).
For context, this is the part that worries me: my PCIe slot or PSU could be the issue. About a week ago I smelled something burning, so I turned off the PC and figured it was the graphics card. I replaced it with a new one (Gigabyte RX 5060 Ti Elite) and uninstalled the old one. I noticed an argb connector on it had melted slightly, so I removed that too.
Here are my specs:
Motherboard: ASUS B650A Gaming
CPU: Ryzen 5 7600X
RAM: 16GB
PSU: ROG Strix 1000W Gold
Can someone help me out?
🙁

Well, if you made the changes, the issue remains the same.

I haven’t made any changes, the graphics are still looking poor.

We haven't received your screenshots. You'll need to share them via an image hosting platform such as Imgur. Additionally, could you confirm your current GPU model? Did you install the correct graphics driver after replacing it? What resolution is currently set in the Nvidia control panel?

the previous model was an RTX 3060 produced by gigabyte. it has the correct graphics drivers installed. i've experimented with various resolutions, but it's currently configured at 3840 x 2160.

Are you referring to a 4k monitor? What is its model? Are you connecting via HDMI or DisplayPort? I understand Roblox typically shows UI at 1024x1024, which would appear blurry on a 4k screen.

Never encountered this before; the first image appears blurry while the second looks normal. Using Grok sgsts for analysis.

Settings
Recommended
Reason:
Image Scaling
Applied (with sharpening 0.50–0.70)
Activates GPU upscaling—blurry textures at 1024 seem sharper without artifacts. Try in-game.
Antialiasing - Mode
Controlled by the app
Allows Roblox to manage FXAA; adjust to 4x if edges appear jagged.
Low Latency Mode
Enabled
Reduces input lag during high-resolution play.
Texture Filtering - Quality
Optimized for performance
Accelerates low-res textures; prevents blur from "High Quality."
Resolution Hack:
In NVIDIA CP > Display > Change Resolution, set a custom 1920x1080 (or 2560x1440) profile with "Integer Scaling" turned on. Open Roblox windowed at that setting, then fullscreen your monitor. This reduces blur by about 80% for low-res games like Roblox.
Test:
Start Roblox > Settings > Graphics Mode > Manual > choose 3–5 (skip Auto). Refresh the browser if using the web version.
2.
Clean Driver Reinstall
Even legitimate installs may cause issues after a swap. Download GeForce Experience > Custom Install > Perform Clean Install (removes old 3060 remnants). Latest version 566.03 (Nov 2025) resolves scaling bugs in the 50-series.
Roblox Adjustments:
Client Settings: %localappdata%\Roblox\Versions\version-[hash]\content\shaders → remove cache folder, restart.
In-game: Rendering Mode > Compatibility (forces lower texture resolution, less blur on 4K).
Browser: For Chrome/Edge users, disable hardware acceleration (Settings > System) to avoid compositor problems.
Cable Check:
Use HDMI 2.1 or DP 1.4+? Older HDMI 2.0 limits bandwidth at 4K@60Hz, leading to chroma subsampling and blur. Switch to DP if possible—your 5060 Ti supports three DP 1.4a devices.
3.
Monitor Model?
(Not specified—Samsung/LG/Dell?) The sharpness slider in the OSD menu often defaults low for 4K displays. Set it to 50–70 and enable "Game Mode" for reduced latency.
Check for Faulty Slot or PSU
Reinstall GPU in PCIe x16 (top slot on B650-A Gaming WiFi—it uses x16 full). Perform FurMark stress test (10 minutes) plus HWMonitor—GPU temperatures under 80°C, no artifacts? The slot is fine. Your 5060 Ti supports up to 285W TDP with a 1000W Gold PSU easily.
If doubts remain: Borrow a budget GT 1030, try Roblox—still blurry? It’s likely software-related.

It usually displayed well on my old GPU, so it probably isn't the problem. Comparing DPI to HDMI? I'm using HDMI on a 4K LG TV without any problems before.

dp means more bandwidth you currently have, resistance doesn't matter anymore—more bandwidth equals faster data transfer, higher quality results come from better resolution, and 2+2 operations complete quicker.
