Hi, I'm comparing the AMD FX 8350 and FX 8370E for building a new PC. I need to know which one performs better and is more suitable for overclocking with an Hyper-212X. Their prices are identical, so I'm unsure which one to choose. Any advice would be appreciated.

The key factor when overclocking is the PSU and the motherboard. You should ensure you have a silver-gold 600-700watt minimum PSU and a quality phase-vrm chipset motherboard with 970-990. Ideally, go for an 8370e as it is better suited and might need lower voltages.

The key point when overclocking is the PSU and the motherboard. You need a silver-gold 600-700 watt PSU and a quality phase-vrm chipset motherboard with 970-990 chipsets. Around 8370 seems to be a better choice, possibly needing lower voltages. I own a 750 watt PSU with a 970 motherboard, and that works fine.
