Pc keeps shutting down as if overheating, though it isn’t actually overheating. The monitor flickers black every couple of minutes, especially after an hour or two of gaming, but the power supply is still working.

Do you have a GPU connected via two PCIe cables that aren't daisy-chained? It might be a power delivery problem on the GPU. Consider swapping in a spare cable if available; shutdowns usually stem from the PSU. You should replace the existing PSU and test it with a multimeter.
