Recently, the download and upload speeds on my computer have significantly decreased to under 1 megabit per second. I am presently utilizing a mobile hotspot for internet access (tethered from my phone).

I’m unsure of the reason, but since this issue began, I have taken the following steps: updated Windows, checked for updates on my phone, updated all drivers, removed browser cookies and cached data, reset network configurations on both the computer and phone, performed a virus scan using Windows Defender, defragmented my hard drive, and analyzed performance data using "perfmon /report" without any detected problems.

I would be extremely grateful for any assistance you can provide. Thank you.

Are you encountering a data usage restriction from your mobile hotspot service? Do you notice this problem when connecting to Wi-Fi at other locations? Does performance monitoring display any additional network card activity, or only the data you're trying to receive?

I concur with Rokkr’s assessment; your mobile device's personal connection is likely the cause.
