HELP! Overclocking failure!
Hello, I’m just starting out
Yesterday night I attempted to overclock my GPU (MSI GeForce 1030). The clock reached around 240 and everything worked fine. Then I increased it by another 40, and the display driver crashed. Now Windows stretches horizontally infinitely, fonts fail to load, icons disappear, and downloading stops completely. I’ve tried a different graphics card before, but the screen is black at startup and only makes 5 beeps. I really need assistance! Thank you for your quick reply.
turn off the power, remove the CMOS, then after use apply f8 to enter Windows Safe Mode. if that doesn't work, try using the GPU in the other video slots.
Ensure your power is off, then carefully detach the PSU power cord if needed, and if required, remove the CMOS battery to fully reset your BIOS. Clearing it will help. After that, reinstalling your Nvidia drivers once you're ready to view the desktop is a good next step.
with the power off clear the cmos and then at post use f8 try getting into windows safe mode. if that a no go try gpu in the other video slots. Thanks guys, I have tried reinstalling Windows and that fixed everything, must have been an update or a driver problem
