On which processor are you running now? At 3.1 GHz.

GPU OC adjustments often lead to instability. Stress testing is necessary to prevent such issues.

Then that might not have resolved the issue. It could still crash. If you decide to record a gameplay clip, the minimum I can do is observe what your hardware is actually doing until people verify what's causing the crashes with the Steam version of the game. If possible, avoid recording on your PC itself since it will consume CPU resources. Instead, use a phone or camera, and try placing it in a stable position to prevent movement.

Your CPU doesn't meet the necessary standards. You might consider getting a more affordable i7 or a comparable Xeon for improved FPS consistency.

Achieving smooth performance doesn’t always need a hardware upgrade. Just adding more RAM would help, since the game consumes quite a bit of memory—often exceeding 10 to 11 GB. The crashes are affecting thousands of users on the Steam version, especially since it hasn’t been released for over 48 hours.

The January 2011 Sandy Bridge i5-2500K is the lowest recommended CPU speed, running at 3.3 to 3.4 GHz without overclocking. The i5-2400 clocks slightly slower at 3.1 to 3.2 GHz. A mere 0.2 GHz drop equates to about a 5 to 6% performance decrease. This means:

- 30 fps → 1.5 to 1.8 fps loss
- 40 fps → 2.0 to 2.4 fps loss
- 50 fps → 2.5 to 3.0 fps loss
- 60 fps → 3.0 to 3.6 fps loss

Keep in mind these numbers are estimates. They’re based on typical conditions and may vary. It’s wise to use the lowest specifications cautiously, but many players have managed to run games at acceptable frame rates with modest settings.

I’m offering this as an informed estimate, not a guaranteed result. I’m not personally owning the game or the system, but I’m well-acquainted with handling titles on hardware that meets minimum requirements while maintaining decent performance.

Hopefully, developers will improve optimization over time, or at least identify what’s causing the crashes.

You're correct, but I was just off-topic when suggesting a budget upgrade that could benefit the game. Please let me know if you'd like to clarify your point.

Is your GPU overclocked?
I experienced frequent and random crashes, especially when trying to log in online (crash on character creation screen every time). A Reddit user suggested I reset the GPU to factory settings, which resolved the issue for me.
Regarding performance, I’m unsure why it’s so problematic. I have a Ryzen 1600x and GTX 1070, playing at medium settings with ultra textures. It runs between 50-75 fps depending on resolution. I’ve noticed that water quality significantly impacts performance when near water, so I keep mine at medium.
Also, using Directx12 might help.
Of course, it’s important to install the latest GPU drivers and update the BIOS.
