Help needed with HP firmware for HP 9010 inkjet printer
Hey All,
I'm using an HP 9018 Inkjet Printer and HP has been restricting third-party ink for some time, which is stopping me from printing or scanning. I managed to disable firmware updates and downloaded the older version, but when trying to install it on my PC with the printer connected via USB, the update option remains grayed out. I've also attempted to copy the firmware file to a USB stick and install it from the printer, but that didn't work either. Do I really need to buy genuine HP cartridges to get this printer working? I'm not sure if there are other possibilities.
