I put together my PC in 2018 and played Witcher 3 for the first time then. At that time the game ran smoothly without any problems. Recently I attempted to play it again but encountered many issues such as long loading times, the game launching slowly, slow background rendering, music that sometimes stopped and took a long time to load, etc. The game was still on version 1.31 and the PC had been idle for a while. I cleaned everything but it didn’t fix anything. Could you help identify the problem? If it’s a hardware issue, where might it be?

It seems unlikely since you can run the game without an internet connection, so that shouldn’t be an issue. Keep in mind that Witcher 3 has been remastered recently, making the original version unavailable. Reinstalling will likely give you the updated version, which can significantly impact performance unless you have an older offline copy.
