Hello, I enjoy playing Dota 1 on a 24-inch display with dimensions of 1920x1080. However, due to Dota 1’s age, when I view the game at 1920 resolution, it appears distorted and enlarged, resulting in a poor visual experience. I’ve identified two resolutions that closely resemble the original aspect ratio. I'm curious about the practical differences within the game itself between these two resolutions. I’ve attached images below and haven't been able to discern any noticeable distinctions based on the resolution numbers or within the screenshots. Could someone advise whether one of these resolutions is preferable? I am content to have black borders along the edges; my primary concern is that the game doesn’t appear zoomed in or stretched.

The resolution of 1680 by 1050 is nearer to 1920 by 1080, and you will likely discern a distinction; the heads-up display appears slightly diminished at 1680 by 1050, which results in a greater number of pixels and enhanced clarity.

You can disable video scaling for both the video player and your display, causing it to operate at its original settings. However, when using an LCD monitor with scaling turned off, the image may appear pixelated and unclear.
