help my graphics card is dying
I assembled my gaming setup in 2019, purchasing all components new. The graphics card is failing, it overheats, and I've experienced frequent visual issues recently. What options do I have? Or should I consider replacing the entire system with a new build using an ASUS TUF Gaming GT501 - Cabinet - Miditower ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-E, Intel Core i9-9900K Coffee Lake S G.Skill TridentZ Neo DDR4-3600, C18 QC, 64GB RAM, ASUS ROG Thor 850P power supply (850W), water cooling, ASUS GeForce RTX 2070 Dual (8GB GDDR6), Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD M.2 2280 (250GB), and the listed storage drives?
Review the graphical issues such as overheating. Check temperatures using HwInfo—ideal idle temps are lower, while high load should stay manageable. Try adjusting settings or cooling options to improve performance.
graphics card operates at around 100 to 105 degrees during gameplay. The room temperature isn’t high enough to cause overheating, but it can heat up the space for about an hour while playing. I’ve cleaned it, but sometimes it still shows color distortion and requires a restart to function properly again.
I haven't experimented with a new thermal paste for the GPU yet—it might work.
