I tried it and the noise lasted about 15 seconds, then it stopped. It came back again. I suspect there might be a loose part. Many gigabyte cards can have this problem. I’m not sure if it’s a bearing or something else. The return process usually takes 4 to 5 weeks. If I fix it myself, I’d have to take it apart, which would cancel my warranty. I’m not very familiar with tech stuff, so I’m unsure what to check or how to repair it.
The simplest solution for a faulty fan bearing is to swap out the entire fan. This is usually what I choose when dealing with fan problems. I might search for a tutorial on replacing a GPU fan to gauge my confidence or decide whether the effort is worth it compared to handling the return process.
