Help me understand why my PC stops working when I start Apex Legends or a mid-game.
My computer frequently shuts down when starting Apex Legends or using Anti Cheat, especially with my 4070 Ti, 7800x3d graphics card. I don’t recall any other issues, but it happens sometimes during gameplay—other times it launches without problems. I’ve updated the BIOS last week and installed the latest drivers, but the problem persists. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
If additional components need to be added, I can handle that. I purchased all these parts new two weeks ago and have been experiencing this problem where it shuts off.
Corsair RM850e (2023) 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply is the power supply unit. It comes with a 7-year limited warranty and you can receive a full refund until January of next year, along with a replacement option.
I saw another forum discussion about a similar problem. This matches closely with my own experience. Do you think rolling back your NVIDIA drivers might resolve the issue? I’m not sure what steps to take, but someone could help explain how.
There is a tool named "Display Driver Uninstall" that helps remove the existing video drivers. You can then download the desired drivers from Nvidia's site and install them instead. This is the method I follow.
I rolled it back a few months ago and will check if it shuts down during game starts. I'll keep you posted.
