In short, I stopped the Windows service in Task Manager and now the computer only starts from BIOS after turning it on and off a few times, getting it into safe mode where I can choose my 980pro and Windows will launch properly. This happened after the PC started up normally, but the Windows startup process didn’t work. Please help.

The boot sequence seems correct, but it's just the 980 m.2 model.

Everything was working properly until I accidentally stopped the windows. I initially checked the boot order, but nothing had changed. It behaves the same when I put it to sleep. When I turn it off, the orange light blinks on the board. I have to turn it off again, and then the light changes through orange to red and green before the system goes into safe mode and I press F1 to go to BIOS, selecting option 980 from the boot menu. It boots immediately. I’m confused about why stopping the windows caused this behavior.

It seems like the UEFI boot partition was altered incorrectly. I would enter the BIOS and disable Secure Boot, as it might be causing issues. Given you're using a Samsung SSD, it's advisable to use Samsung Magician Software (available on their website) to fix the boot partition. Although I haven't used this tool myself, I know Samsung NVME drives often require it for proper startup. Next, I would attempt to rebuild the boot partition via Windows. The simplest approach is to follow these steps:
1) Start Windows from the installation media—use a Windows 11 USB or DVD. If unavailable, open Windows Media Creator and proceed with the steps.
2) On the installation screen, select "Repair your computer" under the "Install now" option.
3) Navigate to "Troubleshoot," then choose "Automatic repair."
4) Select an account from the menu and wait for the repair to complete.
If this fails, look up "Use Diskpart to Fix UEFI Boot Error in Windows 11/10." This method also needs installation media but will use the Command Prompt instead.
