The A1283 had a functional OS initially, but I needed to erase the SSD from recovery and reinstall the operating system so I could sell it. After doing that, I can't install the OS anymore. The error 403 keeps appearing regardless of my actions. I've tried Wi-Fi, Ethernet, other Apple accounts, adjusted time and date, but nothing worked. Someone, can you assist me? How do I reinstall the OS again? OS X El Capitan

It's either a credentials issue or a certificate issue. Try setting the clock back a few years, that might make it think the old, expired certificates Apple hasn't updated are still valid. If you have another working Mac, you can create a USB install drive. https://support.apple.com/en-us/102662 https://support.apple.com/en-us/101578

Attempted before, it didn’t work. I only have Windows devices, which is the only Mac I own. My strong dislike for Apple only makes things worse. Do these help?

It seems like you're having trouble getting your device to function properly. Did you accidentally make it into a brick?

Downloading has been ongoing for over ten minutes. The USB drive offers 16GB of storage. ...I really like it Smile) Haha

It's really tough, honestly. I've already given it a shot and then had a meltdown. Now it's just lying there, collecting dust.
