I own an Intel core i5 7400 with a 10nm i5-7400i7 and an MSI H110M PRO-VD motherboard that’s really poor. I dislike the lack of RGB lighting and know it hurts performance. The software is clunky and looks like brown, which is unacceptable. I’m considering switching to either an MSI B250 Pro Gaming Carbon or an ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero Alpha. Could you help me decide between them? Thanks in advance!

With the cost of the second motherboard you picked, you could also get a 10100f/10400f and another new one. What about doing that instead? In short, the B250 would be a better choice. The second board you selected is way too much and looks like it’s a waste of money.

I agree with @Downkey. The B560 Pro4 makes a solid choice for 10th and 11th generation i5 chips.
