I’ll let him know what to check. Focus on specific details and confirm whether the clock speed is increasing properly. For the CPU, pay attention to the same indicators. I’m sorry if it’s confusing how clock speeds actually function.

He uses a 240hz monitor and plays comp. He’s working with a 1920x1080 image. I’m having trouble locating the motherboard and PSU because I only know the default ones that came with the MSI Night Blade. I think it’s dual channel, so he didn’t touch the RAM since he got the PC and MSI would likely set it up that way before selling. His temperatures are excellent—GPU runs at 40°C during games, and his CPU is fine (exact temps unknown, but I’ll check later). There aren’t any major background programs running.

I wouldn't rely on it because they're still offering new computers with outdated processors that are three years old. Honestly, if he's still available, I'd suggest returning it—it looks like a poor investment compared to what he could create with that budget. If he refuses or can't return it, he should reach out to MSI support; their assistance is likely the main reason someone would choose a prebuilt unit.

What about the usage? You can test it with MSI afterburner.

He purchased it three years ago and also upgraded the GPU. He might consider reaching out to support, though I doubt they’d help much because he already upgraded the parts.
