Hi everyone, I'm upgrading my PC from a mid-tower to an SFF design. I need a motherboard that accommodates a micro ATX case like the Corsair 280x. Since I'm not planning to overclock, I won't need a Z170 chipset. I don't require built-in Wi-Fi, but I want M.2 slots for my NVMe drive. I've checked the first link you shared and the second one, but I'm looking for alternatives if these don't fit. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Finding new motherboards for older hardware is tough due to high costs. eBay offers the best deals, especially for your 6700K setup—consider a Z170 or Z270 to get faster RAM and overclocking capabilities.

It seems this platform is quite outdated and would likely need a refurbished motherboard. The decision really depends on what's available in the used market.

I’d check eBay and grab a used one, you might find a Z170 or Z270 at a reasonable price.

Do you think every board can hit 2800mhz, or is the Z170 specifically needed for that frequency?

Lower-end boards such as B150 and H110 lack XMP profiles for those high speeds. Typically they cap at around 2666, with the standard "high" performance being about 2400. These were among the first consumer boards using DDR4 technology.
