help choosing a motherboard
I received a B450 Steel model and it performs well. The shop (MicroCenter) agreed to update it to the newest version and they handled it smoothly.
Choosing a budget x570 board is fine, but I recommend opting for a higher-end model with solid VRM solutions. If you plan to upgrade from the 3700x to the 3900x, consider investing in premium motherboards—especially Aorus X570 Master boards—which offer superior VRM performance. There are also excellent options from MSI and even AsRock x570 boards.
Some x570 models offer solid VRMs despite their low cost, like the Asus Prime P and B450 Max boards. These can handle demanding AM4 chips well when overclocking.
