Hello, I haven't updated my PC builds in a while. I'm looking for a completely new upgrade from scratch, and I'm hoping someone can assist me with that.

What i intend to use it for:
gaming. I don't mind running games at high settings, but it would be great if the PC could handle them smoothly without stuttering. I also have a 144Hz monitor, so achieving those FPS easily would be nice.

Budget:
around $800 (though it's closer to $1000 depending on where I'm from, so aiming for 800 is a safe bet).

Where do you come from, that will assist.
What kind of monitor resolution do you use?
A standard $800 setup usually includes a 12th gen i5, AM4 Ryzen 5700X, and an RX 6650XT.
This configuration offers a decent gaming experience at 1080p, and you can adjust settings to boost performance if needed.

If you wish to conserve some funds, select the 5700X option.

It seems unlikely to run smoothly at 1080p gaming with 8GB of VRAM. You might find some games that require more than 8GB, but you’d need to lower the settings for a stable experience. The next upgrade would be models like the 6750XT or 7700XT.

I have sufficient funds for the 6750XT, can I replace it without upgrading the CPU or other components? Probably a beginner question, but I haven’t set up PCs alone before and wasn’t even aware of bottlenecks back then—I want to do it right.

5700X3D ranks among the fastest gaming CPUs for AM4 sockets. It matches Intel's 13th and 14th generation chips in gaming performance. Only the newer 7800X3D offers significantly better results, while the 5700X3D is only slightly superior. You can compare its gaming speed here: 5700X3D will trail closely behind the 5800X3D/13600K

Would you like a recommendation for a 32GB RAM upgrade, or should I suggest the best option available?
