I bought a War Thunder account from someone for fun, but he claimed he didn’t have access to the email until recently. I tried logging in yesterday because I needed a code from the email, which I couldn’t log into. Now I’m stuck trying to get in again. Could anyone help me regain access so I can recover my account? It’s also a Hotmail account.

It's not your account and no, there is no way for you to get into that Hotmail-account, either.

Without access to the email, the account is probably gone.

It appears someone compensated a hacker for accessing a stolen login, only to discover the account belonged to the rightful owner. The situation was clearly not yours.

Seems like things got a bit intense, but appreciate the honesty.

Based on the source of purchase, refund options may vary. However, avoid buying accounts without the necessary email and related details. It's best to steer clear of such purchases, particularly for free-to-play titles.

In the future, avoid purchasing other people's accounts, whether for games or anything else. Such accounts are usually scams or have been stolen. War thunder remains free to play, which makes it hard to understand why someone would consider buying another person's account. The good news is that if you enjoyed the game, you can easily create your own account for free.

This is a very common scam and a smart one at that. It involves a decently far account that keeps getting sold to people but the owner "forgot" their access to the email thus they can't change the email. So people foolish enough to believe that use the leveled up account and start adding things to it themselves until at a certain point the seller simply changes the password or locks you out in some way. Now they have their account back that is worth more and they can sell it again. Super old trick from way back in the day. That and if someone comes at support for hey this dude sold me their account they can just say no it was hacked and get off scot free. Most new games have a threshold for how many times this can happen before a account is banned but still it's only profit for the seller especially in a f2p game

In past tiers 3-4, you need either a huge amount of effort or to spend real money with a bit less work. It makes sense why someone might consider buying an access pass, even though I wouldn’t personally do it or suggest it.
