Verify the connections between devices. Open File Explorer, locate the PC in the network list, double-click it to check if the folder appears. If access is denied, the permission settings between machines may be incorrect, not the file itself.

I configured the IP, submask, and gateway correctly. However, the PC attempting to connect appears on the network, yet it displays the shared folder but cannot access it.

I resolved it in some way, but now I’m facing new problems. My Mac Pro is using Snow Leopard since it’s meant as a backup machine for my media, yet it doesn’t appear on the network anymore, though I can still access it via TightVNC.
