Before placing the motherboard on a wooden base, ensure stability and safety by checking the surface for cracks or unevenness. Securely fasten the board using appropriate screws or clips, avoiding excessive pressure that could warp the board. Use a level to confirm it's flat before final installation.

I considered it but didn’t try it myself. Pau handled it and likely used long standoffs, placing them inside the wood to secure his motherboard. You might also try a wood insert and fasten the standoffs into it. Not sure how reliable that is.
