Hey there! I'm John, just starting to explore this platform. I have a motherboard from Odense2-S with 16 GB DDR4 RAM and an Intel I5-6400 processor. The chipset is 100 Series/c230, and the I/O bus is DMI 3.0. I'm thinking about swapping it out for an i7-9700K since it matches the socket and I/O type of my current CPU. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, John.

You're stuck with chip models 6xxx or 7xxx for this motherboard.

Moved to CPUs, Motherboards and Memory
The motherboard supports only 6xxx series processors. Research indicates the chipset determines compatibility. Upgrading to a BIOS update for better support might work, but HP prebuilt systems make it unlikely.
