Hi! Recently I purchased an Assus TUF gaming H3 (wired) and my friends on Discord started noticing they could hear their own voices or the videos I was watching. Adjusting the headset volume or moving the microphone farther didn’t help; the echo actually became quieter only when I lowered the volume on Windows/YouTube. Since I’m using a PC with Windows 10, changing the headset’s jack connection didn’t resolve the issue, and trying other jack inputs on the computer also failed. It seems another, more affordable headset could work better if I can fix it myself (no warranty left, budget constraints). I tested the echo in Audacity and found that reducing the headset volume didn’t eliminate the problem—there was also a buzz sound during recording, though I’m not sure if that’s present on Discord. It looks like it’s not an issue there.
