Hello everyone, I’m facing this issue: my PC connects via jack to two speakers that work perfectly in stereo, but when I try to connect headphones only the left channel plays. The mic works fine. I’ve used two brand new units—one with jack and one USB—and both had the same problem. I’ve tried cheap fixes like adjusting sound balance, reinstalling drivers, but nothing helps. It’s getting really frustrating.
What is the name of the headphones? Can they connect to your smartphone, tablet, or another PC?
The two devices have the same problem despite different connectors, and it doesn't appear to be related to headphones. They function with other equipment as well.
PC audio output is stereo but doesn’t support mic input. You should separate the jack from your headphones to the stereo and microphone, then place it in the front panel.
Due to the USB and other devices, I don't believe the adapter is the issue... At this point, it seems the soundcard software might be handling things differently or WIN11 is involved. Hope you can solve it! GL!
