Hi, I understand your issue with the Redragon Lagopasmutus headset. It’s functioning well otherwise, but Windows 10 treats it as speakers, causing audio from one side only to play. This affects games and videos, making them confusing. You’ve tried enabling spatial sound and disabling the HD audio controller in BIOS, but those changes didn’t fully resolve the problem. The lack of available drivers on your MSI B150 Gaming M3 motherboard is also a challenge. Have you considered checking official manufacturer support or contacting Redragon directly for compatibility updates?

You know headphones act like speakers, so putting a mono speaker setup into a computer doesn’t make sense. It’s probably a faulty connection or a bad pair of headphones.

Playback devices display speakers and headphones together. Yes, headphones function as speakers, but the PC handles them differently using stereo output. This often results in sound appearing on just one speaker channel, which works for speakers but causes confusion for headphones since only one ear receives the audio. My laptop operates smoothly with headphones.

Maybe switch to another pair of headphones to check if the issue lies with your audio jack on the motherboard... Do you have both the green and pink jacks connected?

It seems like the issue might be with the headphones. You mentioned they work on your laptop, but you're experiencing problems with them. Your setup using a splitter with headphones and speakers is different from what's causing it.

The headphones function well on your Windows 8.1 laptop, and a headphone controller appears in the playback devices list. Whether they offer true balance or just direct side-output depends on your specific model.

They are roughly balanced with about 90% variation (that’s the target). This gives enough detail to know which direction I’m coming from, without any noticeable strain. What side is playing louder on the right, but it’s also quieter on the left at a smaller level. It might also depend on whether you’re using a 7.1 setup instead of a 5.1 system. Have you installed and set up your sound card drivers correctly?

Navigate to the control panel, locate the sound settings, identify your high-definition audio device, then adjust the properties. Verify that the advanced settings match the format configured on your speakers. Proceed with confidence.
