Help!!! I found some sponge or foam particles in my Intel CPU socket on the motherboard! Can I still use it? Or do I need to clean the socket? How can I clean it properly?

We simply push compressed air through it. How do you manage to get that material inside?

It was inside a plastic bag along with some old headphones. Since there’s no pressurized air, you might try using a twist or rotation method instead.

Use a fresh toothbrush and softly brush it out.

Honestly, this motherboard isn’t worth keeping. The socket has several bent pins, making it unusable.

Perform the adjustment very gently, like handling an ID or credit card. Bent pins are straightforward to repair when done softly and aren't too complicated.
