Headphones fail to link correctly with the motherboard.
Hello, I've faced several connectivity challenges with various wireless headphones over time. The problems vary but they consistently occur across different systems where the devices function perfectly. My take is that the issue likely lies within my computer itself. I've reinstalled everything and updated the BIOS, drivers, and software settings. Now let's look at the specific issues: when the headset stops sending any output—like music lasting more than ten seconds—it disconnects. Restarting or turning off the computer causes the same problem. Charging the headset also triggers the disconnection. During YouTube videos, the issue appears to occur as well. To get it back online, I have to reinsert the USB cable that came with the headset. Regarding the devices, my setup includes a Razer Kraken V3 Pro, Logitech G935, and an Asus ROG Strix B450-F motherboard. The full parts list shows an AMD Ryzen 7 3800X, ASUS ROG Strix 2060 Super, Corsair 3200MHz RAM (CL16).
Usb headsets operate independently, not relying on your motherboard's sound card. They use their own audio controller. When it disconnects, the headset typically stops functioning as a sound output device. Windows may switch to another device by default. Have you attempted reinstalling drivers or updating firmware for your headset and usb receiver?
The headset is identified in all areas. It works through Windows and Razers software (razer synapse).
