Headphones emit intense static sounds unexpectedly while streaming on Twitch.
As the title indicates: My headphones sometimes produce a loud static noise while streaming on Twitch at work. This issue occurs on an office Windows laptop and happens regardless of the stream being watched. I’ve verified it isn’t the streamer’s microphone and it disappears when refreshing the page. It’s intense enough to cause me distress, and I’m really looking for a fix. My job permits watching Twitch during work hours, so if anyone thinks it’s sabotage, I’m open to discussing it.
What model laptop is this, how old is it and if you know, what model sound chip does it contain? There were problems with the Realtek ALC4080 sound chips but I don't know if those are used in laptops.
OS: Windows 10 64-bit
System Manufacturer: Microsoft Corp
System Model: Surface Laptop Go
BIOS 13.102.140
Processor: Intel® Core i5-1035G1 CPU @ 1.00GHz (8CPUs), ~1.2GHz
Memory: 8192MB used, 2252MB Available
DirectX 12
Intel Display Audio, Realtek High Definition Audio (INTELAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0274&SUBSYS_10EC1216&REV_1000) unknown if useful
I guess you'll have to live with it. No one even mentions what kind of chips are in that laptop, they just gloss over it, and I don't see any way of identifying it unless there's some website where they disassemble one and physically look at the sound chip.
Also experiencing a comparable issue. I'm playing a game while watching a YouTube video, and my headphones suddenly produce intense static that keeps happening until I disconnect the AKG Lyra. I'm using a Sennheiser HD 280 pro connected via USB to an AKG Lyra, and I'm currently on Windows 10. It appears this only occurs when my mini MIDI keyboard is connected as well. The only other possibility I can think of is that the Bass Boost enhancement might be enabled.
