you have headphones that include a built-in microphone, but when connected to your computer it only accepts one mode—either audio or video, not both. previously, you were attempting to record videos for friends, but Obs decided to focus solely on audio when recording divers. these issues might seem unusual, but someone can assist you with this. edited march 25, 2024 by Byamps

Experiment with the recording settings in the Windows Audio menu if you haven’t already; features like stereo mix could be useful... still unsure. More details needed.

I'll share that later when I'm back home, why do specifications matter?

It seems you're comparing a question about needing information to a scenario involving oil and brakes. The key point is that details are essential here.

For one reason, additional details tend to help more. Here, you're seeking assistance with two distinct problems. The headset concern might involve several possible causes, but without knowing the device you're using, it's hard to pinpoint where to begin. The OBS issue seems more intriguing and could relate to your equipment, though it’s likely tied to how you set up the recording.

The system runs well with the Ryzen 7 and RX 7700 graphics. Using a wireless headset shouldn't affect performance.

All headphone issues are resolved—I’m not sure what I did, but now my microphone works again.
