Headphone and PC beep becomes quieter temporarily, then resumes.
According to the game title, a beep sound appears in your headphones and then reduces to 3 frames per second for a brief moment. It emitted several beeps over five seconds before your frame rate also dropped temporarily, after which everything returned to normal. The cause remains unclear. I suspect it might relate to RAM usage, as my system is operating at about 80% during gameplay and around 60% when idle. I haven’t tested this on other titles yet. My PC was assembled roughly two weeks ago and has performed consistently throughout. Temperatures are within normal ranges, confirmed via HWmonitor. According to the spec, you should encounter no issues with running wuwa. The beep appears unusual—did it sound once or multiple times? Which headphones are you using? Your RAM usage seems elevated. Are there any other applications running besides wuwa, opera, and discord?
It’s a distinct beep versus a high-pitched squeak-like noise. The beep could indicate a Windows driver issue where the system drops and reconnects during gameplay. The squeal sounds more like a coil whine, suggesting a potential hardware problem with the motherboard. It seems unlikely you overlooked the recent Asus situation, as other brands currently offer superior performance.
What a mess? They mentioned RMAs before, but that's nothing unusual. I chose a pretty much identical motherboard to the one used by OP for my 7800X3D setup. The B650E-F was the top pick because it offered the best mix of features, cost, and BIOS performance. Other manufacturers clearly have bigger issues.
Wow... you really have been living under a rock... Their current building quality doesn't stand up even to BIOSTAR. Not only for motherboards, but GPUs as well (in the last year i've opened over 20 Asus RTX 3080s to fix their heating issues and a common problem is that the thermal pads are applied to just 60% of the memory chips, instead of contacting the entire chip). Their RMA process and customer service is basically a dictatorship. Their BIOS is so messed up, it makes even AsRock initial releases look stable and working. And that's w/o even mentioning their motherboards bricking CPUs on both AMD and Intel platforms. GN made an entire website to collect information from the people and already 10 of my clients have filled them up, presenting all the documentation. Also a bit more than a month ago i spoke with one of my local dealers, who no longer work with Asus, because in i think it was April alone they had over 200, €800 Asus motherboards RMA-ed to them and were awaiting answers from Asus. They confirmed that it's by far the brand it is most difficult to work with.
The sound comes from my headphones and I'm just checking what's listed in the task manager. After a long wait, I caught the noise on a video, though I didn't actually record anything. It seems I can't save the game footage either. Beep PC.mp4
