You can use the JLED1 header on your motherboard for the RGB connector. The manual mentions support for a 5050 LED strip with up to 12V, so it should work.

It seems like the color is indeed RGB. That’s likely why you noticed it.

I believe the lighting will either function or fail. Just adhere to the pinout and it should work. The 3A at 12V rating indicates the header's capacity. I don't think the cooler lighting will surpass that. It won't damage the board. That header includes its own built-in fuse.
