For some strange reason the RAM doesn't match the timings I got from Drm calc. It works but auto-sets terrible settings even though I manually configured everything in BIOS. Honestly, with you it’s impressive how well the system runs. Still, since I bought this RAM hoping to boost performance, it’s frustrating not being able to increase it further. Thanks in advance for any advice!

When Gear Down Mode is activated, certain values are adjusted to the nearest even number. For instance, 15 becomes 16.

Example: If you choose 3600MHz and adjust the settings yourself, your results will differ from what you had before. Will the timing match what was set earlier when you left it in AUTO mode?

The exact intervals will vary from what you configured, and maintaining everything automatic while setting the RAM to 3600MHz will restore the original timing settings.

Really, I don’t understand. It could be memory training didn’t work but it preserved your clock speed and reset timings to AUTO or another setting that’s causing this. Be sure to turn off ECC in the BIOS (if you locate it, it might help a lot) and also use the Advanced options from the DRAM calculation that are hidden deep in the BIOS.

It's a bit unusual, but I'll try to redo it again and stick to safer settings this time. I'll do my best to adjust what I can. Thanks!

I own another motherboard and am using an ASUS system, which might mean some BIOS similarities. This could be useful... Probably won’t be a perfect match, but certain settings might offer hints.

A few settings are missing from my BIOS, but I’m updated to the newest version. It seems the motherboard isn’t performing as expected. I’ll just return it and choose an X570 board instead—they’re better for the 3000 series. Thanks again for your help!
