A few days back I powered down my PC, expecting to keep working the next day. When I returned, everything seemed normal until the lights stayed on as if it were still asleep. After several attempts, I unplugged and plugged it back in, but there was no sign of activity. I tried fixing things by disconnecting the motherboard, GPU, and RAM—even changing the thermal paste, though it didn’t help. I’m puzzled because if the power supply was the issue, why didn’t the lights turn off when I unplugged it initially? If the motherboard was the problem, how do I know? Anyone else had a similar experience? What exactly went wrong?

Have you attempted to disconnect the power supply entirely from the wall for a full ten minutes?

You don’t own a power supply unit, yet you’ve been sitting near it for two days. You attempted to reconnect it, but it’s still not functioning.

I'll attempt to remove the battery and see if it resolves the issue.

The PSU is identical to the power supply, thank you for clarifying.

Checked if all modular power connectors are tightly fastened on both sides—power supply and motherboard—and confirmed the 8-pin EPS is securely connected at each end.
