He’s upgrading his PC and evaluating options between a 5600 and a 5600X. The X470 has a solid build, and both models are priced around $179 and $199 respectively. While the non-X model is cheaper, the X offers better value for only a $20 premium. The 5700X adds another $50, making it a bigger jump. It seems he might be leaning toward the 3070 graphics card to address any bottleneck concerns.

They typically charge a similar price for the CPU, mainly based on the part number. You’d pay just for the x component. I’d opt for the one without it.

The 5700 offers significant upgrades compared to the 5600, with more cores and double the threads, making it substantially stronger. However, this comes at a higher cost.

The performance gap between the 5600 and 5600x is almost nonexistent. Go for the more affordable option, honestly.

From actual results, the improvement isn't huge because both processors share the same design and both have substantial caches.

A bit quicker than a 5600 non X. And even if your GPU fails, you’ll still have a functional system.

Typically it costs less than the 5600 since it has a lower performance CPU

Ignore the details. The 5600g looks good on paper but doesn't perform well in practice.
