These new Seagate IronWolf NAS units produce significantly more noise compared to older models in my setup. NAS and enterprise drives tend to be noisier since they focus more on durability and lifespan rather than sound insulation.
They tend to be quicker than most competitors, though they often click even when not in use. The noise in the recording is typical for me—it resembles a case and lacks proper soundproofing, which causes it to be amplified.
