I'll include a video to demonstrate the issue. Alternatively, you can use Video.mov for the fix.

It was really cool seeing this for the first time. The hdd being open and working felt similar to getting it installed—like a drive that’s ready. It should be in a case, though, since the main function of an hdd is generating magnetic fields. If you’re using a phone to record it, it might be interfering with the magnetic signal and data transfer.

What would happen if we checked the drive’s capacity? Given today’s HDD prices, is it really worth the risk of a possibly broken drive? What should we do with it? Use your precision screwdrivers and open it. The platters could become beautiful wind chimes, and the magnets would be surprisingly strong.

After the drive was opened and the disk was exposed, there is no method left to retrieve any data from it.

It's 2TB. Upgrading or fixing it isn't too big of a challenge, I just enjoy tackling issues when possible.

After letting the platters sit outside, they started to deteriorate. They were kept in a clean, dust-free space, and even the top drives were stored in a helium-filled chamber. I ran a fully functional drive through this setup, and it failed quickly—just as expected, it stopped working right away.

I concur. After accessing the HDD, its stability diminishes. Even a single dust particle can trigger errors and deterioration.
