I recently purchased an AverMedia Live Gamer HD to record and stream my PS4. When using OBS, I add a new source, choose video capture device, and select the AverMedia. However, during preview or streaming, the screen displays HDCP instead of the actual PS4 output. I’m unsure what’s causing this issue. I have all the necessary software and tried various solutions, but the problem persists. Could you assist me? Thank you in advance.

Ensure HDCP is turned off in your PS4 configuration to allow capture devices to function.

Ensure your PS4 is running the newest firmware by navigating to Settings, then System, HDCP, and turning it off.
