Yes, I see your perspective. The idea is that most Windows processes outside the game run in RAM and remain inactive unless needed. You can disable unnecessary services and startup programs (Sysinternals AutoRuns helps) to save memory. If you notice frequent paging, adding more RAM would improve performance since constant paging indicates the system is running low on memory. That’s why games and applications specify minimum and recommended requirements.

I keep my Steam games on one SSD, my Microsoft titles and others on another, and the OS on the main M.2 drive. LOL
